ReelSchematic was conceived in 1998 as a simple sport fishing community where anglers, tackle suppliers, manufacturers, guides, and others could come together to discus the sport fishing industry. That was twelve years ago and we have changed alot over the years to become what ReelSchematic is today, but our core values are still the same, to support our customers by providing the highest quality products at the best prices while becoming a leader in sport fishing and lubrication innovation.

A few years after the birth of ReelSchematic, our founder noticed a huge need in the do-it-yourself sport fishing community to better service their reels, which was made difficult by a lack of available reel schematics and quality reel care products. Over the next 7 years ReelSchematic made many very helpful contacts with reel manufacturers and gathered some 7,000 reel schematics from 29 different manufacturers. The first ever Fishing Reel Schematics DVD was released and became an instant success around the world with anglers, selling into 190 countries, and became the first to be accepted into the IGFA Fishing Hall Of Fame Library because of the size of the reel schematic collection and dating back to 1933. Today, we are approaching our 3rd edition, with almost 10,000 reel schematics and 34 different reel manufacturers!

In 2007, after hundreds of angler inquiries, we noticed a large demand for quality reel care products and do-it-yourself instructional guides. So we spent the next year field testing different products, creating different lubricants that would provide anglers with the quality product they demanded and deserved, from that was born our Muscle Products Line, based partially on the once famous "Penn Grease" however with many improvements. After quite a but of research we were able to track down the original manufacturer, and work towards a better, more stable lubricant with rust and corrosion inhibiting properties. We also authored and published the books "Fishing Reel Care and Maintenance 101" and "How To Start Your A Reel Repair Business".

In 2010, we introduced for the first time ever, our Pur-Tungstgen Lubricants, which contain 99.9% pure Tungsten Disulfide. Since it's initial release the reaction has been phenomenal! Pur-Tungsten Lubricants have the lowest co-efficient of friction of any substance on the planet at 0.03%, it has a temperature range from -4F (-20C) to 1472F (800C), and withstands up to 300,000 PSI.

In 2011 BadFish Lubricants were introduced to the sportfishing industry, and became an instant hit! As ReelSchematic continues to grow, adapting to an ever changing industry, to meet the demands and needs of the sportfishing community, commercial industrial companies, and hobbyists, it is our customers that steer our course and determine where we will go, because without our customers there would be no ReelSchematic.
