I don't blame them one bit, I think just being able to hook into one for the fight would more than worth it. Way too many poachers in this world.

We Can do that its always good to meet another fisher from a far plus trade info with fishing tips and etc... Well the waters out here in the bay area is greenish but when you get to the coast line blue waters. Sturgeon is all over the bay area not just in Sac but like in San francisco area and other places. People out here if they dont know you they wont tell you where the hot spots for Sturgeon cuz of poachers (take the oversize fish home) Like me I love to fish (sport wise) but dont get me wrong I keep fish here and there. Love to eat fish also.

Looks like you got some nice rivers up there where you are to fish in, if I get up you way one day we'll hook up and do some fishing. Is it like in florida where the water turns brackish as you go farther up the inlets? Which do you prefer up there, saltwater or freshwater? Isn't there sturgeon up in that area or is that only on the Sac river?

You Have A point there. I have notice things like that the shoreline would be catching a whole lot of fish and the boats not a single bit. Sometimes you win SomeTimes you lose, thats fishing.

Both have advantages and disadvantages, have you ever noticed that boat anglers fish cast towards the shoreline, and shoreline anglers casts away from the shoreline, ironic isn't it? I have fished many years from both, and it all depends on the area being fished as to whether a boat or shore would be best. Either way I'm just happy to be out there.

Right now i'm stuck on the bank (don't hate it) but love to be on a boat out on that water just out there drifting to who knows where. But don't get me wrong theres nothing wrong with the bank been bank fishing since man a long time.. Just wanted to see what people like better Bank or boat.
