Shakespeare Warranty Information

Your new Shakespeare product comes with a limited warranty for a period of one year against defects in material and/or workmanship. Shakespeare will have no other obligation and will not be liable for incidental or consequential damages. Shakespeare makes no implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS for any period beyond the duration of each limited warranty. This warranty does not cover damage caused by addition to or alteration of the product, accident, abuse or normal wear. This warranty does not extend to products, which are put to commercial or rental use.

Some state laws do not allow exclusion of incidental or consequential damages or limitation of the duration of implied warranties, so the above exclusion and limitations might not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific rights, which vary, from state to state.

Parts & Repair
The decision to repair or replace reels under warranty will be made by the Service Center. Rods under warranty will always be replaced. Shakespeare Service Center no longer repairs any fishing rods. Shakespeare reel which are no longer covered by warranty may be repaired at a nominal charge plus shipping and handling. Call the service center for details.

Old reels
Shakespeare has been in business for more than one hundred years. We retain parts and schematics for all reels that are six years old or less. Occasionally we may have parts for older models. Please call the Service Center for more information.

Instructions for Warranty Service
Send rods, freight prepaid and insured, to the Shakespeare Service Center at 3801 Westmore Drive Columbia SC 29223 , along with a note stating how the item was broken or damaged. Include name, mailing address, phone number, proof of date of purchase, and $7.50 for return postage and handling. For one piece rods 6'6" or longer, include an additional $2.50 for oversize fee.

Shakespeare will repair or replace the product at its option and return directly to the purchaser.
