What You’ll Find Here

Our collection aims to cover a broad spectrum of Minn Kota trolling motors and typically includes:

  1. Wiring Diagrams: Detailed schematics showing electrical connections between components like the control board, switches, battery connections, steering motors (if applicable), and integrated features (like i-Pilot, AutoPilot, Sonar). These often include wire colors and routing information.
  2. Parts Schematics / Exploded Views: Visual breakdowns of the motor’s mechanical components. These diagrams show how parts fit together in assemblies like the lower unit, steering housing, and mounting bracket.
  3. Parts Lists: Corresponding lists that itemize the components shown in the exploded views, providing official part numbers and descriptions crucial for ordering replacements.

How to Find Your Schematic

  1. Identify Your Motor: The most critical step! Locate the serial number on your Minn Kota motor. This is usually found on the mount, near the motor cables, or sometimes on the underside of the control box/head unit. The serial number often indicates the model, year, and specific features.
  2. Determine Your Model Name: Know if you have a Terrova, Ultrex, PowerDrive, Endura, Fortrex, Riptide (saltwater), etc.
  3. Browse or Search: Use our navigation or search function (if available) to locate the diagrams corresponding to your specific model name and potentially the year range indicated by your serial number.
  4. Verify: Always double-check that the schematic you select matches your motor’s voltage (12v, 24v, 36v), features (e.g., i-Pilot Link, Built-in MEGA DI), and general appearance.

Important Considerations

  • Safety First: Always disconnect the trolling motor from the power source (batteries) before performing any inspection, maintenance, or repair.
  • Use the Correct Diagram: Using a schematic for the wrong model or year can lead to incorrect repairs or damage. Verify compatibility carefully.
  • Complexity: Some repairs, especially involving control boards or intricate wiring, can be complex. If you are unsure, consult a qualified Minn Kota Authorized Service Center.
